Events

In addition to serving as a bookstore, Redbud is a community event space that plays hosts to a range of different events, from book clubs and reading groups to film screenings, lectures, author talks, book launches, and youth programming. Redbud regularly partners with local organizations and educational and cultural centers on IU’s campus in order to bring the Bloomington community dynamic, public programming. We aspire to provide a third space that allows for independent intellectual and creative flourishing, accessible to all.

Requesting use of our space

We welcome individuals and groups to host events at our space! If you would like to request the use of our space, please fill out our Event Request form and a member of our Events & Programming team will be in touch. Please note that we cannot accommodate all events, and acceptance of an event request will be contingent upon the size and scope of the event as well as our availability and resources. Tabling & Bookselling Events

We always love opportunities to bring our store into other community spaces, and are happy to table and/or sell books at your event. If you have an upcoming event you’d like us to join as a vender, send us a message with all the relevant details (including any specific books you’d like us to bring or relevant themes we can curate titles around) at events@redbudbooks.org. Please note that we need at least 2 weeks’ notice if any special orders need to be made, so we can ensure the books arrive in time.
