About the Program
Welcome to our Course Readings Program! We partner with faculty to provide required course materials for IUB courses. Our program invites instructors to submit their course reading lists, and we’ll stock the titles we are able to acquire to make them easily available for students to purchase throughout the semester. This also allows students to support their local bookstore!
⏰ Important Deadlines
Initial Contact: July 15th (for fall) / November 15th (for spring) – Contact us with initial interest to participate in the program
Final Information Submission: August 1st (for fall) / December 1st (for spring) – All course information and titles must be received (no exceptions)
How It Works
If you’d like us to order materials for your courses, please reach out to us at chair@redbudbooks.org to let us know. We’ll need some information from you, which you can find below, and then we’ll follow up with any questions.
Note: We are only in the business of bookselling and cannot print or otherwise produce course packets. We also do not acquire or sell textbooks.
Required Information
To participate in our program, please provide the following information:
- Your name
- Course details: Department, course number, and course name
- Student enrollment numbers for the course
- Requested titles with complete details:
- Book title
- Author(s)
- ISBN of the specific edition you will be teaching
- Any additional edition or version information
📋 Important Purchase Policy
Please note that, for each title indicated, we will purchase a quantity that is at most 1/3 of the number of students enrolled in the class. Our experience shows that most students don’t purchase course titles from us especially when many assigned texts are readily available online and as a small business, we must carefully limit the quantity purchased to avoid excessive leftover inventory.
